Lakewood Inn Restaurant
About This Spot
Nestled along the quiet stretch of LA-9 in Creston, the Lakewood Inn Restaurant offers a welcome pause from the everyday rush—a place where the hum of conversation blends with the gentle creak of wood and the scent of expertly prepared seafood. Walking through its doors, you’re immediately embraced by an inviting, unpretentious warmth, like stepping into a friend’s kitchen where stories are shared over hearty plates and familiar smiles.
This is a true neighborhood gathering spot where time slows just enough to savor the moment, whether you’re seated with longtime locals or fellow travelers passing through. The atmosphere is relaxed but lively, humming softly with the ebb and flow of conversations, clinking glasses, and the quiet attentiveness of staff who clearly know many of their guests by name. It’s a place where everyone feels seen, known, and at ease.
Dining here is as much about comfort as it is about flavor. The menu, rooted in classic southern seafood traditions with a thoughtful touch, invites you to dive into dishes that speak to the region’s bounty. From the generous seafood platters to the unexpectedly satisfying steak options, every plate comes with the care and familiarity of home-cooked hospitality. Accompanying sides like sweet potato fries and hush puppies complete the experience with simple, soulful touches that linger beyond the meal.
Whether you arrive as a first-time visitor or a regular greeted by name, the rhythm of the Lakewood Inn is steady and genuine—where good food meets a genuine connection and every meal feels like coming home.

This place is like home. We all know Mrs. Pat and the gang. You will always be treated like family here and the food is great.

What a nice surprise. Out on a motorcycle tour and stopped for lunch. It was hot! The food was great and the service even better! You must stop and give it a try.

Service was good and food was not as good as it usually is. Proportions where extremely small and highly over priced this visit and the alligator bits where so tough you couldn't chew them, boiled shrimp was not cooked in any seasoning but was covered in Cayenne pepper to the point it wasn't even edible, blooming onion had no flavor to batter and was wat undercooked and the sauce was sweet and just didn't go with it. Was very disappointed especially since prior visits food has been great and reasonably priced, this time it was triple what we normally pay

Restaurant was pretty busy on New Year’s Eve. Regardless of how many folks were in there we had good service and the food came out fast. Black lake water was good too for an adult beverage

Absolutely loved this place, location, service, food, everything was great. If I had to come up with some kinda complaint the only thing I can possibly come up with would be that they need more lighting in the womens restroom, that's literally all I can come up with lol. We drove an hour to try it this place out and it was well worth it and can't wait to go back
